Competition for new World War I Memorial - Washington, DC
This was a submittal to the National World War One Memorial Foundation's Competition in Washington, DC. The memorial, illustrated above, was designed as a back drop to Freedom Plaza to the west and an arrival point from the east for visitors passing through the park's center, the crucible of war, as represented by an eternal flame at the center of Pershing Park.
Eutaw Street Lofts - Baltimore, MD CNU DC Mid-Atlantic Single Stair Competition - 1st Place Winner
The Congress for New Urbanism Mid-Atlantic Chapter sponsored a competition to educate the public and policy makers how a single stair building might work in Baltimore Maryland. Last June, my project (illustrated below) was selected for first prize, which I had the honor of presenting at the Congress for New Urbanism afterwards in Providence Rhode Island. I chose two adjacent lots in the Loft Historic District North to illustrate the two conditions typically found in urban infill lots, the corner lot and mid-block condition to highlight the importance of passing the single stair legislation. https://www.cnu.org/publicsquare/2025/06/09/competition-reveals-practical-single-stair-designs
