Boston Street - Denver, CO
The developers of Central Park (Stapleton) in Denver, Colorado tasked us with designing a parcel of land that would connect a public park at one end and a civic space at the other. We narrowed the street to make room for a linear park that encourages socializing and limits to affect of vehicles. We mixed townhouses and single family homes of sympathetic styles to create a varied yet coherent strolling experience for the pedestrian and a visual connection to the adjacent public amenities.

The Vineyard Cottages - Denver, CO
This project is on an irregularly shaped block in downtown Central Park (Stapleton), surrounded by an alley, an elderly care facility, and a fire station. After studying various configurations to increase the density, the final design comprised an alley with rolled edge brick sidewalks, accounting for the required fire truck radii while maintaining a small scale street section.

Cottage Neighborhood Studies
Employing the Vineyard Cottages originally conceived for the project above, we laid out several other neighborhoods using the mix of small, medium, and large size cottages to create varied yet unified streetscapes. The design intent was to create public spaces surrounded by houses in lieu of the typical yard while still allowing for small yards and one-car garages.

Keedysville, MD
This neighborhood outside of Keedysville, Maryland was designed to take advantage of the topography while providing for connectivity. There is a mix of small, medium, and large lots around greens spaces on the high points while locating the main green space in the existing swale to allow for the natural drainage of the site to be cleaned before entering the stream below.
Columbus Circle - Washington DC
This was an independent study of the area around Union Station in Washington DC. The goal was to create a pedestrian oriented civic space at Columbus Circle by building out the surrounding parking lots as a proper entry into the city. I also proposed to fill in other open spaces between the circle and the capitol building while maintaining those which had an existing civic character to create a new mixed use neighborhood between DC's Downtown and Capitol Hill neighborhoods. https://ggwash.org/view/39595/what-if-we-developed-the-space-in-front-of-union-station
